Princess Camp- June 22-24
Ages 3-6  10:30am-12:00pm 

 Princesses will have a magical time dancing and making new friends at our Princess Camp. Throughout the three days of class, they will learn how to dance like a princess, make magical crafts and also learn about the values a princess lives by: kindness, patience, honesty and helpfulness. Little princesses will enjoy songs, stories and princess-inspired crafts that focus on  different princesses each day. The dancers will also focus on creating a very special performance which will take place the last 30 minutes of their class on Thursday. Family & friends are welcome; please don’t forget your cameras!

Hip-Hop Intensive-  June  28-July 1 and August 23-26  
Ages 9+
.75 and 1 hour class meets everyday Monday-Thursday
5:30-6:15 Beginning
6:15-7:00 Intermediate
7:00-8:00 Adult ages 16+ (July Only!)
7:00-8:00 Advanced (August Only!)
With an mix of urban cutting edge moves this energetic, upbeat class uses the latest up to date CLEAN music from the hip-hop world.
Dress for comfort, bring your tennis shoes.

Musical Theater Workshop -All levels of experience
Ages 8-11    July 6-8       6:15-7:30
Ages 9-14    July 27-29  7:15-8:30         

Class meets Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for 1.25 hours 
Dancers will enjoy dancing and acting to many of the  great Broadway musical scores. This class is a great way to
build your musical theater repertoire and learn a  variety of  jazz styles. Videos and handouts will be a part of this class.
$40.00 for workshop

 ADULTS- Summer Sampler  July 7, 14, 21, 28
7:00-7:45  A different class each Wednesday- jazz, musical theater, modern and more!  A great way to try something new or just to keep dancing over the summer. Right after Zumba!
$34. 00 for session (discount if taken with Zumba)  or $9.00 per class

 ZUMBA- July 7, 14, 21, 28  6:00-7:00  (look for full year classes in the fall)
Ages 14+
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music with routines that feature aerobic/fitness interval training that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.

 Tap Technique Clinic - July   13-15
Ages 9+     
5:15-6:00 Intermediate     3-5 years of tap technique class
6:15-7:00 Beginning    0-3 years of tap  technique class    
Each level will focus on improving timing, learning new steps and basic rhythms.  Intermediate Levels will also work on speed, clarity, and dynamics of sound.

 Young Dancers Workshop   July 19-22  and August 16-19
Ages 3-4    4:00-4:30
Created for the youngest students who just can’t wait to dance! Original games and activities introduce basic ballet, tumbling and more
Ages 5-6   5:00-5:45pm
A program built for fun and education! Combines classical and original exercises to introduce and explore ballet, tap, and tumbling.
Ages 7-8  
Tap 5:45-6:15,   Ballet 6:15-6:45,     Jazz 6:45-7:15-  take one, or take them all!!
Classes include beginning ballet, tap and the fundamentals of jazz. Students are introduced to basic positions in ballet as well as terminology and body placement. Jazz and Tap combinations both to music and a cappella are introduced as well as center and across the floor work.

CAST PARTY!!! on Fridays of the workshop week for all ages
12-1:00pm Videos, Snacks, Crafts and Awards- Performance by the SDA pre-professional program.
1-1:30 Performance for all workshop dancers

Our Ballet Clinic offers the classical self-discipline of ballet introduced with a jovial and progressive style.
Int./Adv. levels add intricate footwork and choreography with a determined focus on gaining strength and control.
You’ll have fun, but work harder than you ever had before.

Cecchetti Workshop- Ages 8+
Grade I   July 20-22,   Grade II-  July 13-15,  Grade-III- August 10-12                                              All classes 4-5:15
Grade I And II
For ballet students on a more serious track, the two lower student grades will develop proper placement of torso, hips, and legs without exceeding anatomical limitations. The coordination of arms and head are developed with a concentration on smooth transitions throughout the exercises.
Grade III
A more mature sense of musicality and quality of movement is emphasized in the third and fourth levels. Students develop strength and stability in the demonstration of the pirouettes and grand allegro. Suppleness and smooth graceful movements are developed in these levels along with the coordination of head, arms, legs, and body.

Contemporary Workshop-

Contemporary dance classes, students learn to use their bodies in a variety of ways, and they focus on breathing, posture, and emotional state to establish a mind-body connection. Students may learn choreographed works, or they may be encouraged to improvise dance pieces. A contemporary dance composition may take the from of a personal narrative, a commentary on society, or an integration of cultures, and it can feature a wide variety of dance techniques, reflecting the melting pot nature of contemporary dance. Videos and handouts will be a part of this amazing experience.
$45.00 for 3 day workshop

 BOYS ONLY WORKSHOP     August 16-18

Be inspired to master new movement and gain confidence for sports, theater or just for school dances. Includes stretching, conditioning, hip-hop and technical development. A class for the just the guys- comfortable clothing and tennis shoes are all that’s necessary.

Jumps and Turns Workshop – ages 9+ 
August 24-26th   6:00-6:45 Beginning,  6:45-7:30 Intermediate
All dancers love to turn and jump- come learn the right way! Warm up with incorporate core exercises that focus on placement, balance and extensions. Across the floor work with prepare the dancer to seamlessly mesh their tricks into their performance.

SCHEDULE IS LISTED BELOW

What is it?- A summer series of classes designed to allow you to continue your training extensively, once a week, or to try something new as your busy schedule allows. Technique and short combos will be brought to each class. We have many options offered and have gone great lengths to provide you
with as many opportunities as possible. 
How does it work?- You purchase a card for a flat price and have it punched at the beginning of each class you attend. 
The dancer can take different
levels and take advantage of all disciplines offered.
Prerequisites– For dancers ages 8 and up Only!
( proper dance attire required for punch card classes)
Intermediate Levels-1-3 years of experience
Advanced Levels– 4+ years experience
When participating in a new dance discipline the above guidelines should reflect consecutive years of study. 
These are general guidelines and are to uphold the integrity of our program and for the safety and comfort of all dancers. Please note, the SDA directors
reserve the right to re-direct placement to any student attending.
Minimum attendance– each class must have a minimum of 4 participants. In the event of less than 4 participants the class will be cancelled and you will be given a credit if your card has already been punched.  You are allowed to take a different class that is available at the same time. No credit given for unused punches.
